Have I not been replaced by A.I. yet?

Not quite yet. Rather than bowing in awe to our ChatGPT and Claude overlords, I’ve become their buddy (friends with benefits?), saving me a heap of time and increasing my accuracy and quality. It’s such a relief that deadlines aren’t a problem any longer. Just a few years ago, it may have taken days to create a piece that was 80% there, but I can get to that point in about an hour now, leaving me time for the important last 20% that makes the difference.

I’ll edit or write pretty much anything:

  • Boring technical box-ticking corporate stuff? No problem! Whatever pays the bills.
  • Persuasive, engaging, humorous social media content? Nice.
  • Everything in-between? Yep, that’s fine.

I have a background spanning construction, pharmaceutical, quasi-governmental international development, community non-profit… A strange mix, but wherever I find myself it’s always just a case of understanding what the client wants and then finding the best mix of words, numbers and pictures.
